2014 Beauty Favorites

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great holiday season. Today I'm going to be writing about my beauty favorites for 2014. There was a lot of great products that I discovered this year.  I picked my top ten skincare favorites and my top ten make up favorites. I hope this post is helpful and inspire you to try some new products.   Skincare Favorites Organic Coconut Oil is the best natural eye make up remover! It takes every bit of mascara without irritating your eyes. I use a small amount, I apply it with my fingers and remove it with a cotton  round. It leaves the eye area cleaned and moisturized.  Garnier Cleansing Oil is a great alternative for make up remover wipes. The oil is more gentle to the skin and also removes every bit of make up without drying or irritating your skin. You only need a small amount of product to remove your whole face of make up. Once I started using this product I stopped wasting money on make up remover wipes.  First Aid Beauty Fac

Christmas Wish List 2014

This is my Christmas wish list for this year.  Christmas is definitely not about the presents, to me Christmas is about celebrating love and giving without expecting anything. I don't expect to receive anything but it's fun to have a wish list of things you wish you had. You can also take this post as a holiday gift guide for a girl in her twenties I'm sure she will love any of these gifts. So these are the things that I wish I received for Christmas. These are things that I have been wanting for a while but I never get myself to buy them. You might see some repeats from last year. Yes I still don't have a pair of Doc Martens and I am still wanting to have a polaroid camera. They are so expensive though! Some new things that came out this year that I have been dying for are all from Sephora! First Too Faced chocolate palette! I really just want this palette because of it's packaging and the way it smells lol. I really don't need anymore eye

These are some of my holiday gift ideas for all budgets! All these gifts a very neutral meaning women of any age will enjoy receiving one these gifts. For gifts under $10,  I recommend getting something personalized like this monogram mug from target. You can also find really cute monogram mugs at Anthropologie . Even though is a small gift it will still be very special because it will be personalized to the person. For gifts under $15, I definitely recommend going to Bath and Body Works and pick one of their candles they are normally 2 for $22 but right now they have a sale where all their candles are $12. If you don't know what kind of scents the person likes I recommend going for a clean scent like Eucalyptus Mint, that's one of my favorite candles it just make the room smell fresh. For gifts under $20, I recommend going to Sephora where you can find cute little gift sets like this Tocca Rollerball Trio .  This type of gift is great because the person gets

Somewhere Only We Know

I came across a fallen tree I felt the branches of it looking at me Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? Oh simple thing where have you gone?  I'm getting tired and I need something to rely on And if you have a minute, why don't we go? Talk about it somewhere only we know? This could be the end of everything so why don't we go somewhere only we know? Hi everyone!  I know I have been MIA for the past few weeks, I have been trying to balance my time between my two jobs and blogging. I wanted to post more this fall season but I ran out of time. But fall is not over yet! I'm planning a few more posts before the season is over.   The lyrics at the beginning of the post are from one of my favorite songs from Keane. For this look I wanted to do something a little more romantic and bohemian.  This is actually one of my favorite looks I have done so far. I love the romantic feel of the dress

Last Minute Little Mermaid Halloween Outfits

Hi everyone Happy Halloween! Little Mermaid has always been my favorite Disney princess. I have been wanting to be Little Mermaid for halloween for years but most Little Mermaid costumes they sell at halloween shops are way too expensive or too reveling for me. So this year I decided to dress up with my own twist. I will be showing you too options you can wear with clothing items you might already have at home. One of the looks it's more like a Glam Party Little Mermaid great to go out downtown. The second look it's Hipster Little Mermaid which I got inspired by all the funny memes you see on instagram. I know this is definitely last minute since today is Halloween but I hope you guys get some inspiration if you don't know what to wear tonight. Glam Party Little Mermaid For this look you will need a red wig, a purple top, teal leggings, and accessories. Fall Make up - Collective Haul

Fall is finally here and I have gone a little make up crazy. I have made multiple trips to Ulta in the past few weeks and I have also picked up a few things at Sephora. So I decided to post a mini collective haul with my new fall make up. I also decided to include swatches of some of the goodies I picked up. Enjoy! This week Ulta has 40% off NYX Cosmetics. I picked up a few lippies for $3.00 each and couple cheek products for $4.00 each. NYX butter lip glosses have a lot of good reviews so I didn't have any so I decided to picked up Angel's Food Cake (Mauve Shade) and Devil's Food Cake (Deep Plum). I also picked up the soft matte lip cream in Transylvania which is a matte deep violet shade.  For my cheeks I picked up the NYX Baked Blush in Chiffon which is a two in one blush and highlight iridescent pink shade. I also picked up one of their regular blushes in the shade Terra Cotta which is a shimmery gold shade. I love cheek products that give me a

Fall Must Haves

Fall starts next week but I have been rocking the dark lips since the beginning of the month. Fall is the best season for beauty and fashion. I can not wait to start putting together fall looks. My go to make up look for fall includes dark lips, bold lashes, flawless skin and glowy cheeks.  To start off the season I'm sharing with you my fall beauty must haves. Stay tuned for more fall blogposts. NYX Simply Vamp Lip Creams - I have been loving these new lip crayons by NYX  Cosmetics I got mine in the shade Enamored which is a deep brown color (almost black) with a burgundy pearl finish. These shade is beautiful for fall and its definitely different from the usual wine or purple dark lip.  Make Up Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara - I actually tried this mascara for the first time last month I received a free sample from Sephora it was included in the birthday gift they offer to their Beauty Insiders. I must say this is one of the best mascaras I have tried so far the wa

The Peasant Top

Fall is around the corner and knowing me it was already time for me to change my hair. I can not keep the same hairstyle for a long period of time. I am always doing things to my hair. My hair was too long and damaged since I have been bleaching it for the past two seasons. So I decided to get a semi long bob and get a new color for a change. I am addicted to coloring my hair it is a problem. Since I am getting more pale I decided to add some color to my complexion and dyed my hair red. I dyed my hair at home with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series hair color in Merlot Vibrant Red. The color came out pretty good considering it was a box dye from the drugstore. I do have to retouch it with a second coat because my hair had some blonde pieces that did not kept the color as well as the rest of my hair. But overall I am very happy with my hair color.  Enough about hair let's talk about my outfit. I am in love with peasant style tops. I like the length of this specific blouse, it

OOTD- Coral Crush

Today I had an important meeting I was not sure how to dress since its been 100 degrees outside almost everyday here in Florida.  I knew wearing a blazer was out of the question. I still wanted to look somewhat put together I opted for this light weight buttoned top with coral detail and my favorite pair of jeggings. When you don't know what to wear the best you can do is keep it simple. The right pair of shoes can take a simple outfit to the next level.  I wanted to make the look monochromatic so I added coral sandals. The bag is my favorite part of the look, I was waiting the perfect opportunity to wear this gem. The bag worked as a great statement piece.  Overall this look is fun and perfect for summer. Hope you got inspired!  xoxo, Sandra Outfit Details: Top: Forever 21 Jeggings: AE Sandals: Zara Bag: Aldo

The Best of the Blue Capet - TCA 2014

These are my favorite looks of the 2014 Teen Choice Awards: Shay Mitchell looked beautiful in this all white combo. The look could have gone all bridal but she took it to the right place by adding a messy braid,  metallic shoes and a vampy lip. The lace detail was really sexy. Overall this look is feminine, young and perfect for the TCA. I'm loving Nina Dobrev's two piece assemble it's fun and colorful. The hot pink shoes added the perfect pop of color. She also rocked the messy braid hairstyle which looked great with her flawless smokey eye. Lucy Hale looked amazing! These Christian Dior piece is the perfect little red dress. I love how she let the dress be the center of attention by wearing minimal accessories. The studded sandals and black nail polish  gave a fun edgy touch to the look. Simply perfect!  Janel Parrish was another PLL star that rocked the blue carpet. Love the jewel toned colors she chose for her look.  The crop top and m

The Floral Romper

I have probably mentioned this before but this summer I have been loving wearing rompers. I have been looking for a romper that looks almost like a baby doll. This time target did it again, this romper is super comfortable and it has the flowy dress vibe I was looking for. The crochet detail gives the romper a nice feminine touch. I decided to pair this gem with lacy bralette and studded sandals to add some contrast to the outfit. Let's not forget of the hat! I love hats, specially floppy hats, they just have a glamour aspect about them. The burgundy hat is definitely more of a fall piece, but it works well with the outfit. I can't wait for fall! I am already wearing some of my fall pieces I know I am a little bit early. Overall this look can be easily transitioned from summer to fall, add some booties and a cardigan and voila! Hope you got inspired! xoxo, Sandra Romper: Target ( here ) Hat: Forever 21 ( similar ) Studded Sandals: Urban Outfitte
